Invites, email, and notifications (Pro)
How invites move through email, what players experience in the portal, and how to debug delivery without spamming your field.
Invites and transactional email
Pro can send invites and announcements through email infrastructure integrated with DrawGen. Delivery depends on correct addresses, domain reputation, and each recipient’s spam filters—there is no magic “always inbox” guarantee.
Keep invite copy short and specific: event name, date, what action you need, and who to contact if the link fails.
In-app notifications
Players may see a notification center and preferences when you enable those surfaces. Use notifications for high-signal updates—court changes, rain plans, finals time shifts—not for chatter that trains people to ignore the channel.
Delivery troubleshooting
- Ask the recipient to check spam and Promotions tabs before you resend.
- Confirm the address on file matches what the parent actually reads.
- If multiple resends fail, contact support with event id, approximate send time, and a redacted recipient domain (e.g. @gmail.com).
Responsible messaging
Avoid collecting more personal data in email than you need. If you include roster details, remember that email forwards are permanent in ways push notifications are not.
